  "Our first priority of the Slim4 implementation was to improve our customer service levels. Lowering the total stock value and realising a short pay back period were less important to us, but were of course excellent side effects." says Marc Basten, logistics project manager at Cito Benelux (subsidiary of Phoenix International).

"Slim4 calculates the demand forecast from actual sales data downloaded from our Baan ERP system. Slim4 uses other data from Baan to automatically calculate our required stock holdings - and ordering levels. The service levels have improved significantly after the implementation. Our A-class item service level is now averaging above our 99 per cent objective; similar improvements have been made to our B- and C-class items."
