The Dutch Royal Air Force is implementing Slim4 to manage spare part stock for its F16 fighters. Research has convinced the company that a much lower stock can be combined with a better stock availability. In total it holds around 170,000 spares items.

With its existing in-house developed system, is not possible to set service levels either by component or by component group. Slim4 was chosen because of its developer’s broad experience in managing large ranges in product with longer purchasing lead times.
